about us

We opened Apex in February 2024 with one goal in mind: to create a place where people are comfortable and fall in love with our fitness & community.

Coaching, running classes and watching people improve day by day is what drives us.

Our doors are open to everyone; all ages, all fitness levels and all goals. From competitors pushing performance, to people training for general fitness, to those who simply love the social side - Apex is built for you.

But the real magic?

The community. Every single member helps create the atmosphere that makes Apex more than just a gym.

I spent my younger years playing rugby before discovering road cycling, where I raced at a competitive level across the UK and Europe. From cycling I transitioned into running, which eventually led me to competing in Ironman events.

In my mid-30s I found CrossFit and I instantly fell in love with the sport. Within three years I went from beginner to elite level. What drives me most isn’t just the training, but the community. Watching people come together, push their limits, and achieve things they never thought possible is what keeps me motivated every single day.

Fun fact: I’ve been to the top of Kilimanjaro.

Proudest achievement: Cycling from John o’Groats to Land’s End (850 miles).

Fitness has been a huge part of my life and with almost 20 years experience in the industry, I have seen first hand the positive impact leading a healthy and active lifestyle can have.

Over the years I’ve competed in bikini competitions, CrossFit competitions and endurance races. I have also played and coached netball at a high standard whilst studying for a Sports Science Degree.

I’ve discovered that fitness isn’t just about looking a certain way or hitting a PR - it’s about building confidence, strength, and balance in everyday life. Now, my biggest passion is helping others find their own version of success.

Fun fact: I have travelled to Australia, South Africa, Dubai and Malta while coaching elite netball athletes.

Proudest fitness moment: My very first individual fitness competition OR most recently completing the 12 hour ‘Iron Hours’ endurance running event with my epic teammates!

I used to lie about my age when going to the gym at 14 years old. I thought going to the gym would make me taller. Turns out this ISN'T true, but it gives you biceps, abs and everything in between which is great.

Since then, I’ve always loved training myself and others. I’m known for my energetic approach and passion for helping people realise what they’re truly capable of.

I combine bodybuilding, strength training, endurance and functional fitness to deliver a well-rounded athlete who looks good, feels good and performs at the highest of standards.

Fun fact: I once hiked up a volcano in Guatemala and it erupted.

    Proudest achievement: Running a Sub 20 5km (19m40s).

With over a decade of coaching experience and a lifelong passion for movement, I love helping people of all levels progress in their fitness within a high-energy, supportive group environment. I believe training is essential for unlocking your potential - both physically and mentally - inside and outside of the gym.

I began coaching gymnastics at just 13 years old and have since expanded my expertise to include strength training, cardio conditioning and postnatal fitness. As an elite gymnastics coach, I specialise in teaching the gymnastics-based movements that play a key role in functional fitness.

Fun fact: I competed at the cheerleading world championships.
